Sanathana Animal Ashramam was born from a simple belief: no dog should suffer alone. Since our founding, we have worked tirelessly to rescue dogs from the streets, treat their injuries, rehabilitate them, and find them loving forever homes. We operate with complete transparency and rely entirely on the generosity of our community.

Pradeep Payyoor is a real-life hero for animals. Hailing from Thrissur, Kerala, Pradeep has dedicated over two decades of his life to rescuing, treating, and sheltering injured, stray, and abandoned dogs and cats. He has converted his own home into a shelter, providing safe haven to more than 1,000 animals over the years.
Working full-time as a supplier, Pradeep wakes up at 4:30 AM every day to walk and care for his furry family. His mother, Sumalya, helps prepare food for the animals. Pradeep receives 2–3 rescue calls every week from across Kerala — and he has never turned an animal away, even mortgaging his mother's gold to cover expenses. He spends over ₹20,000 per month from his own pocket on animal care.
